Anna Barnes

I have been a part of the Contain-It Club since my freshman year; however, this year is my first time on the management team. I am a senior this year and I am very excited to see how the Lord is going to be working this year in and through each of us as we strive to serve Him and those in our community. Thankfully, I was able to travel to South Dakota in the spring of 2020 on a mission trip to the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota. Meeting the No Necks and  seeing their living environments changed my heart and increased my love for Pine Ridge even more. I am excited to begin working on our projects and goals this year. I am very blessed to be a part of such a wonderful team with amazing people! Contain-It is a unique organization, and I have learned how important it is to communicate, pray, ask questions, be prepared, and to be willing to dive into the opportunities the Lord provides for us along our journey. I can not wait to see how the Lord will use Contain-It this year and in the years to come!

I am a senior at Covenant Day School, and this is my first year on the ContainIt Management Team! In the past, I’ve been a part of the club, but I really wanted to get more involved and learn more about this life-changing project, so I joined the team this year. I am learning about the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota, and I am helping develop plans for a bakery that will hopefully be shipped out there at the end of this year. I am also involved in finding land for a tiny home community in the Charlotte area, and I am learning a lot about leadership and how to communicate with my peers and sponsors along the way. I am so excited to be a part of this project and to see where the Lord leads us in this year!

I am a senior this year and could not be more excited to be a part of this incredible team! This is my first year in the Contain-It class, but I have wanted to join Contain-It since I first heard about the discipleship that takes place serving those in our community, near and far. I currently work on the marketing team and contribute to the team in ways such as advertisements, design, and eventually, collaborating with sponsors. It has been a treat to see the Lord's work in just the short amount of time I have been a part of this team and I cannot wait for what's to come!

I am a Senior at Covenant Day, and I decided to join ContainIt to spread God’s word and help further his kingdom. I’m so excited for everything we will be able to accomplish with our team's passion to make a difference in this broken world. I love spending time with my friends and family. I have done competitive cheer for almost 10 years and love competing. ContainIt has taught me tremendously about real life situations and has given me life skills to forever carry with me. I’m so thankful to be a part of this initiative and to have this experience.

I am a Junior at Covenant Day School this year and my second year on the ContainIt management team. ContainIt was actually the class that drew me to CDS. I have always loved serving others and this is one amazing way that I can further the Kingdom of God. I am so excited for this year! I hope that we can find safe ways to show love through this pandemic. I know that this year in particular it is imperative that we help the less fortunate both in Charlotte and on the Pine Ridge reservation. I hope to be able to find land to build a tiny house community and are able to help provide a bakery to Pine Ridge. I know that with perseverance and God we can do great things this year!

I am a junior at Covenant Day, and this is my first year on the ContainIt team. I decided to join this initiative as I have seen the impact of ContainIt on both our school and other communities, and I was inspired to become a part of such an impactful team. I am especially excited to see where God takes this project, and cannot wait to learn more about business, communications, and serving others.

I have gone to Covenant Day my whole life and am currently in my senior year. I have been working with ContainIt throughout my entire high school career and have been able to see the amazing impact we have made in the community and at the reservation. This year I decided to join the management team so that I could continue to be able to serve the community and serve others just as Jesus has called me to do. I am so excited to be able to see where the Lord will take our team this year and how He will work through us.

I’m a senior at Covenant Day School, and this is my second year at ContainIt Management Team. Last year, I joined ContainIt simply out of curiosity; I’ve learned many skills, such as how to communicate and build a relationship with our sponsors, and how to build a tiny house with other team members. Being a part of the ContainIt Management Team is an amazing experience because it inspired me to aim at something bigger than things that could be done by high schoolers. ContainIt has taught me to conquer difficulties, moving steadily towards our goal. This year, I will continue to dedicate to ContainIt, and also I will try to explore innovative fields for our team.

I am a sophomore at Covenant Day School, and this is my first year on the ContainIt Management Team. Ever since seeing the Pine Ridge containers from earlier years, I have been waiting eagerly for the chance to be a part of this team. God is so evident in these projects, and I feel He has called me to be a part of it. Last year, I learned so many things while in the ContainIt club. I am excited to have the opportunity to continue to learn new things, grow in community, and further the kingdom of God.

I’m a sophomore at Covenant day School. This will be my first year on the ContainIt management team. I decided to join ContainIt because I was interested in the fact we’re going to be building tiny houses. I’ve always found architecture to be extremely interesting and to have hands on experience in high school doing that is really awesome. So far ContainIt has taught me numerous things like communicating with various partners. I may not know much about ContainIt but so far it has been a great class.

I am a senior at Covenant Day School and have been involved with Containit for almost four years now. However, I am especially excited for this year because it is my first year on the management team. I already have been able to see the real, tangible impact this initiative has on the lives of individuals in our own local community and on the reservation. Containit is such a fantastic opportunity for students to gain real world experiences in so many different areas. I cannot wait to see what new doors God opens this year and where He ends up taking our team.

I am a senior in CDS, and this is my second year on the Containit Management Team. We built a tiny house last year; I’ve learned so much from this process. It’s such a pleasure to do something meaningful for somebody who needs it. While I was doing this project, I made lots of friends who have the same passion as me and encouraged other people to join us through what we are doing. I love this project, the team, and all the happiness, kindness we shared to others.

I’m a senior at Covenant Day, and this my second year at Containit Management team. I had a great experience last year so I want to work with the team again this year. I’ve worked on the Coat drive and Tiny house project last year, and I’ve gained lots of skills that not only helped me in my individual development but also improved my ability to serve the community better. I’m looking forward to what I will learn and what we as a team will accomplish this year!

I am my 3rd year at CDS but this is my first year with ContainIt.  One of the things that drew me to the school was the avenues it provides students to be a light within the community.  ContainIt specifically allows students to work both with those in need and adults in the Matthews/Charlotte community.  I am excited to work with these students in being Christ’s imagine bearers and bringing the Kingdom to those who need it.

Mr. Randles

I have been involved with sustainability at CDS since it's inception but this is my first year working with ContainIt. I have been involved in trips to Haiti and Pine Ridge reservation in the past and have a heart for those whom we feel are less fortunate. I have learned that those same people we try to "help" end up teaching us and helping us instead. I am excited work with the team this year, to learn and further the Kingdom of God in the process.
